A how to, step by step guide to 3D animation by Cirkus Animation

By Eoghan

Here’s a great video for both Purchasers and Suppliers of 3D content.
For a purchaser, this is a useful guide to the inner workings of a 3D project from start to finish. It’s a good insight into why you can’t change content ad-hoc as a project progresses.
From a suppliers point of view this is [...]

The Tender3D software is almost fully integrated and we will be putting live projects through it over the next week or two to make sure that there are no bugs and to iron out any very obvious errors.
Our team has put a lot of thought and hard work into creating a system uniquely designed to [...]

I’m happy to update that we have finally put together a showreel of some of the suppliers that have signed up for Beta testing when www.tender3d.com goes live next month. We got a great reponse so unfortunately not everyone who sent in material could be included in the showreel. We wanted to keep a balance [...]

Error: Unable to create directory /usr/local/pem/vhosts/107555/webspace/httpdocs/tender3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server? By David

One of the key features of the this application is a file management and storage facility for every project. Any documents, models, previews or animations will be stored centrally and easily accessible through the interface, and versions are stored sequentially in each milestone. Versions will then serve as a reference in the event of any disputes.

We are producing this software so that – apart from core functional purposes- it enhances how professionals work, so of course a key focus of our design/ development team is usability. While keeping everything as simple and easy on the eye as possible, the user journey is designed to be as intuitive as possible. With this in in mind version 1 of the software will have a dashboard as a key feature.

We’re getting close to the release of the software and its time to start giving you guys a look at some of the functionality you can expect. As anyone who has worked in 3D knows, markup (the process in which mistakes and inaccuracies are usually circled and corrections typed in) of modelling and texturing of objects in a scene can take a long time. There can be many iterations of markup to get complex scenes just right, and making this process easier was a key objective in developing this software. Prior to this, markup was often done using Photoshop or other standalone tools.

Update: So What’s the Plan Anyway?

Error: Unable to create directory /usr/local/pem/vhosts/107555/webspace/httpdocs/tender3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server? By David

The challenges we’re dealing with now are to show as many different types of suppliers as possible that the purchasers who have the need and the budget for specific types of 3D will be here, and to educate purchasers about the possibilities that exist within this global market.

Over the next few weeks we are focused on working with as many purchasers as we can- to make sure that we have a cross section of different types of work going through the system when it goes live. The software is in the final stages of development and – having seen what it looks like – when you see it I hope that you guys will agree that this is the type of software that the industry has been crying out for.
